Mobile Matrix
October 19, 2007

A company named Mobile Complete offers around 1000 mobile phones for developers to connect to and test their software on. Each mobile phone is taken apart and attached to electrically to a server so that those on the internet can test an actual working phone with their latest software. This cuts down the need for companies to actually pay out for a phone.
With the announcement of the iPhone dev kit coming out early next year this would allow Mobile Complete to offer the iPhone for developers to test with. The service is named DeviceAnywhere. The iPhone has already been attached and the company has also successfully integrated the system to hook up to the accelerometer and multi touch screen. To access the system you need to purchase credits which in turn, provide access to a phone for an hour. Phones are organised in to packages which are by carrier.
