Windows-PhoneWith the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 yesterday, Microsoft also made an official announcement providing details of a large array of phones that will run the new Windows Phone OS.

A few phones we already know about at the HTC Tilt 2, HTC Pure and HTC Imagio along with the Samsung Intrepid. Other phones mentioned come from Acer, Garmin-Asus, more from HTC, LG, Samsug, TMN, Toshiba and ZTE making around 20+ phones that are confirmed. This is quite a close number to the 30 Windows Phones by Christmas that we mentioned a few weeks back.

Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 Phones Confirmed

* Acer beTouch E100, beTouch E101, beTouch E200 and Acer neoTouch
* Garmin-Asus nuvifone M20
* HTC Touch2, HD2, MDA Vario V, and MDA Compact V
* LG GM550 and GM750
* Samsung Omnia, Omnia II, Omnia PRO (three different models), and Omnia LITE
* TMN Bluebelt 2 and Silverbelt
* Toshiba TG01 W
* ZTE X60

Some of these sound very interesting and it will be great seeing how they perform with the new operating system. However, please note that a lot in the list above are actually going to Europe, so we might not see many of them for now over in the US.
