LG have launched their first mobile multimedia hard drive named the LG XF1. The XF1 measures 20.8mm in thickness and has 500GB of storage capacity. It is finished in a gloss black finish with smooth curves to make it look rather good.
Inside, as well as the 500GB drive already mentioned, is a codec decoder that reads FAT32 and NTFS files. On the back you will find a HDMI connector, power, composite AV output and mini USB. On the front are onboard touch sensitive buttons to allow you to skip between content on the device. A remote control is also supplied.
The drive supports the following video formats… AVI, Xvid, DAT, MPG, MPEG along with audio formats which are MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, AAC, AC3 and LPCM.
For full details and a demonstration of how it works, what it does etc… check out the official site at LG.
