LG Rumour 2 232x400 LG Rumor 2 Going to Virgin Mobile USAAn announcement from Virgin Mobile USA has revealed that the LG Rumor 2 is going to their network. The Rumor 2 has a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out that makes it ideal for messaging and email.

The phone also has Bluetooth as well as 3G connectivity Update: No 3G on this phone. Also, GPS can be found in the phone making it quite a handy device should you want to use navigation.

The great news is that the phone will cost just $129.99 without a contract.

Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera as well as email, IM and picture messaging. An MP3 player is built in as can be expected and the device has a fairly small 2 inch colour screen. Social networking is also integrated in to the phone so that you are able to use Facebook and MySpace to name a few services. Storage wise, it can be expanded by way of microSD cards.

Although not a full featured phone it still at a very good price without the contract to pay out for.

Hey folks,

Thank you for the nice write up!

Just wanted to make a clarification. The Rumor 2 from Virgin Mobile is NOT a 3G phone. Everything else appears to be correct.

Thanks again!

Hey Matt,

Another clarification. We incorrectly state on our webstie that the Rumor 2 is 3G. That is an error on our part, and that’s where this confusion is stemming from.

Our apologies for the website error. We are in the process of making a correction to the Rumor 2 spec section of our website.

Thanks!
