From a press release from Hong Kong an announcement was made that the Prada by LG is to debut in Asia today. The Prada handset was touted as being similar to the iPhone a few months back when we first heard about it. The device will sell for HK$6200 and will include a Bluetooth headset according to rumours. The Prada is a nice looking phone with a number of cool features built in such as a capacitive touch screen, music playing abilities for MP3, ACC, ACC+, WMA and RA, multitasking, Video Player and it has a macromedia flash user interface.
The phone is to be EDGE tri-band working at 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz. It is 98.9 x 54 x 12mm in size and has a 2 megabyte CMOS camera with an LED flash. Memory can be expanded with a MicroSD although it is unlear what memory is built in to the phone. Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and USB Mass storage is also part of the phone allowing for alternative ways to connect it to your PC or laptop.
It looks like a nice phone although if the price above is right that converts to just short of $800 USD which could be a tad higher then what most are willing to pay for a phone.
