LGBlog have released some pictures of a hands-on with the LG Chocolate BL40. The LG BL40 is a unique handset that fits in a rather odd category due to it’s crazy aspect ration of 21:9 which makes it cinema style.
“The initial response to the new LG Chocolate phone is exceeding our expectations by a wide margin,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications. “Although much of the interest seems focused on the striking shape of the handset, the real surprise will be when people discover the advantages of the 4.0-inch screen in terms of viewing pleasure and ease of use.”
Concerns over the length of the phone due to the large 4 inch screen and the 21:9 aspect ratio are answered in the pictures below. It measures the same length as the LG Crystal opened up and LG Secret opened up, but yet still seems to be a fairly decent, if not odd, size.
Video playback is great on the phone and sound, provided by Dolby, is also excellent as can be expected.
