La Crosse Alpha Power Battery Charger

la_crosse_alpha_charger Battery chargers are nothing too exciting. You just plug them in, insert batteries and a few hours later the batteries are charged. There is nothing to jump up and down about there. However, this battery charger has an LCD display on the front. What the Alpha battery charger does is defaults the charging cycle to just 200mA. What this does is slows the charging time right down to a high number of hours which is better for the NiMH battery and prolongs the life of it. If you want a faster charge then manual settings of 500, 700, 1000, 1500 or 1800mA are possible which the setting of 1800mA will speed up the process to just over an hour.

The battery charger can charge both AA and AAA 1.2V batteries. The Alpha charger comes with a travel bag and power adapter as well as other cool adapters allowing you to convert the smaller AA batteries to larger C and D sized cells.
