At the end of October we mentioned the Kohjunsha Dual-Screen netbook that was captured on video. We now hear that the dual-screen device is actually on sale.
The netbook is unique in that it has two screens rather than just the one found on netbooks. Each screen measures 10.1 inches and to keep things compact, one slides behind the other when not in use. Each screen is a TFT display capable of showing 1,024 by 600 pixels.
The netbook measures 1.02 x 8.26 x 0.74 - 1.65 inches and weighs just 4.09 pounds. The dual-screen netbook is on sale for the equivalent of $1,110 and runs the Linux OS. If you pay a little more ($58) then you can choose Windows Home Premium for the device.
Power wise it runs an AMD Athlon Neo processor running at 1.6GHz and has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card. Memory wise it comes with just 1GB although that is expandable to 4GB. For storage it has a 160GB HDD. Battery life keeps the dual-screen netbook running for 4.5 hours max.
