Japanese Robot with Facial Expressions
This robot is capable of showing expressions when it hears certain words and phrases. As seen above, the word bomb was shown and the robot puts on a face that shows he is frightened. Other words such as Sushi make his face light up. The robot is capable of showing 36 facial impressions from English words such as happiness, sadness, anger, disgust, fear and suprise. The system is also smart enough to tie in other words with an expression. The video shares an example of the word President which relates it to Iraq, Bush and bomb which makes the robot show a face of fear.

The robot was made by a group of people at a Japanese university. You can check out the video over at Reuters.
