Helpdezk have launched their range of iTude illuminating ear phones. The cord of the earphones glows and there are several colours to choose from. iTude, or !Tude glows when music is played. The wire is protected by flexible nylon nets making them durable for frequent use. The idea behind the whole !Tude is that others can see that you are enjoying your music and it helps share this experience. Sounds cheezy to me 
The !Tude is powered by 2 AAA batteries and operates for more then 10 hours. The !Tude has 3 levels of operation, 'On Steady', 'Beat to Music' and 'Off' with the latter not sounding that exciting but I guess it's still an option.
As seen below, the optons are blue, pink, lime, aqua, yellow and white.
How Do they work?
"Electroluminescent (EL) is made up of phosphoric materials that emit light when an electric alternating current with a certain frequency is passed through it. EL consumes low power and it generates no heat. It is an ideal light source for a limited space environment. It has also gained popularity in advertising as advertising messages can be lighted up in certain sequences, creating life & dynamic advertising in a two-dimensional space."
