Back a few weeks ago we wrote about a new application for the Apple iPhone that was to allow the iPhone to wirelessly sync to iTunes rather than having to tether which is normally the only way.
At the time, the application was waiting for approval from Apple [AAPL] which unsurprisingly didn't happen in that they said no chance. So, rather than give up on the project the developer has taken iTunes wireless Sync to Cydia where you can now download the app on your jailbroke iPhone for $9.99.
To get the app working you first need to download it from Cydia (we assume you know what that is, and that you have already jailbroken your device). You then need to grab a free application for Mac OS X and install that on your Mac. You then need to just configure both to make sure you are syncing correctly and once done, you can wirelessly sync with iTunes.
Right now there is no sync app available for those running on the Windows operating system although the developer of the iTunes wireless sync app says one is being created now and it will be uploaded shortly.
It's quite a cool app and also very handy to have if you need to quickly sync some music over without using a cable.
Check out the video below to see a demonstration of it working with an iPhone. Also check out the short list of options where you can choose to switch off backups and perform a sync only.
The website with details of the app and a download link for the Mac OS X software can be found here.
