iPhone Case with Flip-Out Keyboard – The TK-421

The TK-421 is a case built for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS that has a built in QWERTY keyboard. The iPhone sits inside the back of the case and the keyboard can open up by rotating the iPhone off the keyboard… see the animation to see how it works.

The reason for this keyboards existence is due to some people just not liking a virtual keyboard that has no tactile feedback. By having a physical keyboard attached to the iPhone you can take advantage of iOS without having to use the touchscreen keyboard.

The keyboard connects to the iPhone 4 or 3GS by a Bluetooth connection. The reason that the iPhone 3G isn’t compatible is due to it not supporting the necessary bluetooth functions for it to communicate with the keyboard.

Bluetooth Keyboard Features…

* Give your iPhone a real flip-out tactile keyboard
* Keyboard flips out for use, then flips back in when done
* Magnet based clasp keeps keyboard in position whether flipped in or out
* Increased typing accuracy and speed
* Works with any app such as e-mail, web browsing, notes, and calendar
* Completely wireless Bluetoothâ„¢ connection does not use dock connector
* Keyboard powered by built in rechargeable battery, recharges via included USB cable
* Invented and designed here at ThinkGeek
* Models available to fit iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4
(Please note that the iPhone 3G will NOT work with this case. The OS does not support Bluetoothâ„¢ keyboards.)
