Tesco has announced that it will too offer the iPhone 4 in the UK on June 24. Just like the 5 main carriers, T-Mobile, O2, Vodafone, Three and Orange, Tesco has not released details of the iPhone 4 yet in terms of what pricing and contracts it will offer.
It is expected that Tesco (who uses the O2 network) will offer some fairly good deals on the iPhone 4 from Apple [AAPL]. Right now they offer 12 month contracts for a decent price on the iPhone 3GS and we might see some similar contracts being used on the iPhone 4.
It is still unclear why Apple are not allowing networks to take pre-orders and even more so with all the problems that were reported today with systems crashing and people taking up to 3 hours to reserve an iPhone 4.
Hopefully networks will be allowed to release official details soon and perhaps open up for pre-orders. We are hearing though that pre-orders might not be possible on networks which is a real shame.
We'll keep you informed of changes as they happen.
