iPass – WiFi Access

by Matthew on April 1, 2008

iPass_LogoiPass is a card which will allow you access to many Wi-Fi hotspots around the world. Up till now it had limited access to most people due it being available to corporations only. Now, it is getting released to regular day to day users too.

When subscribing to the iPass service you get access to all hotspots available from T-Mobile, AT&T, Wayport and many others dotted around the world. 3G EV-DO from Sprint and Verizon has also been added.

Prices are not too bad at $29.95 for access to all hotspots around the US. Bump that up to $69.95 and you get access to 3G EV-DO services but you do need an iPass EV-DO card. If you pay an extra $20 then you get access to over 90000 hotspots world wide.

For the traveller who needs always on internet access then this could be ideal for you.

Does iPass work with Mobility Products on the enterprise level? For instance, if we have a bunch of smartphones can we hook them up with ipass?
