HTC Vision Android Desire-Like Handset with QWERTY Keyboard

HTC is rumoured to be readying a new Android based smartphone with a built in QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone will be called the HTC Vision and will be similar to the HTC Desire, but with the included slide-out keyboard.

Although the device is now being referred to as the HTC Vision, it is likely that this name will changed when the smartphone gets officially announced.

Details of the phone, other than the Desire looks and the QWERTY keyboard addition, are not known. However, it is expected that an official announcement will be soon about this device and perhaps by the end of this month.

Lets hope that HTC launch it with Android 2.2 rather than an older version like 2.1 so that users can benefit from the speed increases and all around general goodness that Android 2.2 brings to Android smartphones.

It’s about time HTC came out with another Android phone with a QWERTY keyboard! I miss my G1 so much! If they were easy to get in the UK, I would get a Motorola Milestone (Droid) but sadly there hard to get.
