htc snap touch pro 2 300x341 HTC Snap and HTC Touch Pro2 Get Win Mo 6.5 UpgradeJust last week Windows Mobile 6.5 was officially launched. Thanks to the upgrade HTC are now offering ROM upgrades for the HTC Snap and HTC Touch Pro2.

As of now only European versions of the phones are capable of being upgraded via the HTC website. For those out of Europe you’ll need to wait for your carrier to inform you of when the update is available through them.

The upgrade for the HTC Snap takes it from Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5. The ROM is numbered 2.03.405.2 and is available now for download on the HTC site. When upgrading your HTC Snap, make sure you follow the instructions step by step to avoid causing damage to the phone. There are a number of warnings that HTC provide such as carrier details being wiped by the update as well as personal data.

The HTC Touch Pro2 upgrade is just the same as the Snap version in terms of warnings and what it does, ie, from WM 6.1 to WM 6.5. The upgrade for the Touch Pro2 is available here for download and will bring the phone up to ROM version 1.86.401.0.

@frost Details are on the HTC site. The US version I believe will be pushed out by carriers in the US.
