Update: A couple of people in the comments have ordered last Friday and received Saturday, so it seems the delays are just in store now.
We have heard through a couple of comments on our HTC Desire posts recently that the said phone is being delayed in the UK. After speaking with a store in the UK today (a store in Leeds who gets phones as soon as they launch) we were told that they are not arriving till either Wednesday or Friday although there was no confirmation of if that was happening for sure and they haven't received any information as to why the phone didn't arrive for delivery ready for today.
Nukey, a reader from Exeter has said... (Comment found on the HTC Desire post here)
I went into the T-Mobile store in Exeter yesterday and they told me it has been delayed for another week.
There seems to be conflicting news everywhere as to it's release, it seems.
Late last week Paul also made a comment (too large to post here) essentially saying the same thing that it was being delayed a week until April 2nd. Part of the comment is quoted below...
I have just got off of the phone to T-Mobile upgrade department and have been informed that the HTC Desire FAILED a last minute ˜Quality' check yesterday, 25th March 2010, and HTC will NOT be allowing the release of the Desire to ANY networks until the 2nd April.
Although T-Mobile said I could go ahead and order the phone online, I wasn't told it would arrive quickly and going over to the T-Mobile site there is still a 7 day shipping time mentioned. We haven't had confirmation just yet on if those ordering it last week have received them today or not.
Hopefully we will see the phone actually arrive on T-Mobile this week but unfortunately problems do happen. It's just a shame nobody really knows what's happening and when it will actually be launched.
