The Honda Civic CRX could get 50 MPG when it rolled out of the factory doors in the early 90’s. While 50 MPG is a fairly respectable mileage number, it still wasn’t good enough for a man named Mike Turner from Ecomodder. By modifying the shape of his Civic, adding aerodynamic parts over the wheels and reducing the coefficient drag from 0.34 to 0.17, he was able to get the Civic up to 95 MPG.
The 95 MPG is not achieved by just these sweet looks alone though (sarcastically using the word sweet). It is also achieved by the style of driving which involves not slowing for turns, cutting the engine while driving and being just all around slow and careful.
What are your thoughts on this mod? Is it something you would do?
