Hitachi announced recently that some new external storage products will be coming out soon. One of the interesting ones was a USB adapter that converts a USB drive in to a NAS device.
It is named the SimpleNet and is designed for those who own a router and a USB drive. The device allows the USB drive to be shared over a network.
SimpleNet costs $79 and it also does not require drives to be formatted before first use as it is compatible with both FAT32 and NTFS formatted drives. Also HFS+ for Mac OS X is also supported which makes the Apple Time Machine compatible too.
