Inforad have created the Inforad V3 GPS speed camera warning system. By using GPS and regular updates from the UK’s best database of speed cameras it can warn you both visually and through audio if there is a camera ahead of you. This benefits you and others around you in a few ways. First, it lets you know when you need to be paying closer attention to the speed limit by pointing out where cameras are which tend to be in areas where most incidents occur. Secondly it saves you getting points on your license if you choose to pay attention and slow down. Ideally you shouldn’t be speeding in the first place, but sometimes in unfamiliar areas this can happen. Over 6000 speed cameras can now be found in the UK which are Gatso, Truvelo, SPECS and Trafficpax.
Updates are received by connecting it to your PC via a USB cable. Power is provided by the cigar lighter found in most cars. It costs £59.99 with free P+P to the UK and if I remember correctly, that’s about the cost of an SP30 ticket in the UK. Get 4 of those in the UK and you loose your license.
