GPS Shoes

GPS Shoes
GPS is revolutionising the way we travel. GPS receivers are handy when put together with mapping software to navigate us from point A to B. GPS trackers like the Personal Bracelet Tracker that we wrote about last year are now starting to hit the market. As tracking devices become more popular, the need to create innovative ways to disguise them are all part of a products life cycle. In this case we now have the GPS shoes with built in panic alarm. I guess that you click your heals together two times to activate the panic alarm which in turn sends your location co-ordinates to the person tracking you so that they can come to your rescue. The idea is great and could have a number of uses although be careful that you do not get stalker status from tracking your girlfriends every footstep. They are also handy for parents wanting to know where their kids are, but its a win-lose situation because if the parents tell them of the panic alarm (a safety feature for any parent) then they will know that you can track them and the element of suprise is eliminated.

Other than the obvious alterations, the shoes are look like any other standard pair of shoes. Available in March for around 250 pounds.
