Google TV Could be Released this month in the US

by Matthew Newill on September 10, 2010

According to the Intel CEO, Paul Otellini, the Google TV service could be launching as early as this month.

Up till now, we've only had the details about Google TV and what it does. What we haven't known is the ins and outs of when it will be launched.

The information comes from an interview with the Wall Street Journal where Otellini spoke about what Intel's involvement with the GTV service was.

He went on to say that 10 million lines of code are in Google TV and half of them were from Intel.

Although the CEO said Google TV was landing this month, he didn't mention how it was landing. There are two types with the first being new TV's with built in Google TV and second is the Companion box like the LG Revue.

As for the UK launch of Google TV, we hear it will follow sometime but indications do not show if it is sooner rather than later.
