Google Maps is normally built in to Android and only receives updates when the phone network decide to push it to their users. In an unusual step, Google have now decided to allow you to download the latest version through the Android Market.

Along with the normal features of street view, traffic, driving directions, business listings and my location.

To download the app just go to the Market program on your Android phone and do a search for maps. It appears at the top of the list.
