If you want to know the mood of people in general around you then this new application for the Apple iPhone will sort that out for you. The application is called Glow and allows you to see how those people around you are feeling. The catch is that to see reports of other people's moods the other person also needs to be running the Glow application and have updated their status.
When loading up the Glow application you can use it to submit your feeling on a five star rating system with five stars being "awesome" and one star being in the depths of depression.
Each mood on the map is defined by a colour which is determined by the amount of stars on particular spot. The more happier people are in an area the more everything turns blue. If the general mood is bad then everything will be painted red on the map.
I guess one use of it is could be tracking down places to visit. If an area constantly has red patches on the map then it would be best to avoid that spot, unless of course your business is counselling where you could use the app to make a mint.
...Glow is about; quantifying happiness in a visual way.
As well as functioning on your iPhone as an app that you can load up, update and share with other Glow users your status, it also allows you to integrate the details with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
The application is available now via the App store. Via: 9to5Mac
