Gigabyte are launching their new T1000 netbook tablet device that will run a new Intel Atom N470 processor and have a multi-touch display.
The new CPU runs at 1.83GHz while memory capacity is 2GB. The multitouch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is on a rotating hinge allowing the device to be used as a tablet.
The keyboard on the T1000 is said to be good although the downside of the T1000 is that the multitouch panel requires quite a firm press to utilise it.
Other problems that were noticed include the lack of a sensor to detect screen orientation (as well as a lack of a button to achieve this also). Also the the mouse buttons look to be quite frustrating being either side of the touchpad rather than the traditional underneath that everyone will be used to.
It's a shame the Gigabyte T1000 isn't quite up to scratch as the specs look to be just right for a tablet as it runs a quick processor, has a decent amount of RAM and is multitouch.
