Corsair Flash Survivor

Corsair Survivor
The Flash Survivor range of flash drives from Corsair are built for people who like to take their flash drive to the extreme. This is how they got the Flash Survivor name attached to them. The drives are capable of resisting drops, shocks and are water resistant up to 200 meters. Also dirt and mud will not effect this drive. With this kind of protection the only thing you need to worry about is not loosing and securing your data. The Flash Survivors are encased in extremly strong CNC-milled, anodized aircraft grade aluminium.

As well as being super strong, the drives are standard USB 2.0 compatible which allows you to plug right in to your PC and transfer files at high speed. As well as being complient with 2.0 they also comply with 1.1 standards too for those of you with older USB ports on your PC. Two versions of this drive are available. The Flash Survivor GT is an 8GB model and is quicker then the Flash Survivor which is 4GB. Claims on the Corsair website say that the GT can deliver at speeds up to 5x faster then average USB and the 4GB model runs at 4x quicker.

I like this drive although I am not sure I have a need for one. If you do a lot of travelling and walking and need to carry a USB flash drive with you then this could be an option for you.

I carry one like this. It’s good to keep a back up of your vacation pics when you’re out in the woods in case your camera blows up.
