CiBox Digital Photo Frame Review

cibox digital photo frame CiBox Digital Photo Frame ReviewI recently received a CiBox 7 inch photo frame to review. The feature that stood out to me amongst the other frames I have seen is that the frame includes three facia plates allowing you to switch between colours to suit the theme of your home. This was important as it bugs me that you are sometimes stuck with a frame you like the features of, but it just doesn’t look right sitting in your room. Included colours are silver, black and white which are all easy to remove by the use of a supplied pin. Lets take a look at the CiBox digital photo frame.

Since digital photography has gained pace and knocked traditional photography out, we now tend to take a lot more photos as you can see results instantly and store 1000’s of pictures on your computer. Rather then printing these pictures on to photo paper and putting one picture on your wall the process is now different. You now can hang a digital frame on the wall, or rest it on your TV and display 100’s of photos in a slide show. This is what makes digital photo frame cool! They are basically more in line with how photography is used these days.

The CiBox frame is capable of displaying various formats for both pictures and movies. It supports MP3, MP4, JPEG and WMA allowing for most standard media to be played. I found close up that the screen wasn’t as high quality as say a laptop screen, but at the same time I found that this was really not an issue given that you tend not to sit 12 inches in front of your photo frame. I have had the frame positioned on the table for the last week and found the images at just the right distance to look spot on.

If you do not have a PC or a Mac then you can make use of the memory card slot that can be found on the top edge. The card reader accepts SD, MMC, XD or MS memory cards which covers most of the formats that modern point and shoot digital cameras use.

A remote control is included which is capable of performing all the functions which saves you having to get up and down to make changes to your slide presentations.
