Dell are launching the Dell Studio 10 Touch. The new laptop is powered by a 2.1GHz Pentium Dual-Core Processor on the lowest spec model moving up to Core i7 on the higher end. It runs Windows 7 and has a 17.3 inch screen that is capable of displaying 1,600 x 900 pixels. The screen is also multi-touch allowing you to use the full touch features of the Windows 7 operating system.
For storage the laptop takes up to a 1TB HDD spinning at 7,200 RPM. Connectivity allows it to connect at 802.11b/g/n speeds over wireless networks. The Studio 17 Touch has USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Firewire along with a USB/eSATA port and DisplayPort. For graphics the Touch runs the GMA 4500MHD chip. [click to continue…]

The Pegatron Smartbook was recently spotted. The Pegatron has a 10 inch screen and runs a fanless ARM processor that as of now is unknown which exact processor it is… perhaps it could be the snapdragon though.
It is expected that the Pegatron Smartbook will launch in a few months time Q1 2010, but also unknown is if it will be branded differently or will still look as the prototype picture above. [click to continue…]

We have mentioned the ASUS Eee 1201N a couple of times in the last few months. We now see that it is ready for pre-order.
The Eee 1201N has a 12.1 inch screen running with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It has an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor along with NVIDIA ION graphics. Priced at just under $500 it comes at a fairly decent price. The netbook is also ASUS’s first ION netbook to be released.
The ASUS 1201N is part of the Seashell line of laptops and looks similar in some ways to various other models from that range such as the best selling Eee 1005HA. [click to continue…]

ASUS have announced the ASUS UL30VT laptop that has been described as being ultra thin. The laptop measures just 1 inch thin and weighs 1.5KG. The UL30VT is covered in aluminium that has been given a brushed finish.
The laptop is powered by a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the option of a cheaper 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor. Memory wise, it can handle up to 4GB of RAM. Also included is a 500GB hard drive. [click to continue…]

More rumours are here today about the Apple [AAPL] tablet that was rumoured to be launched early next year. Reports are now saying that the tablet will move back to the 2nd half of 2010.
Reasons for the delay are due to some changes being made to some of the components which includes a 9.7 inch OLED display built by LG.
Two models have been mentioned which include a 10.6 inch TFT LCD display while a 9.7″ OLED panel will also be made available as mentioned above. [click to continue…]

The Dell Adamo XPS has now gone on sale over at Dell in the US. The Adamo XPS is an ultra thin laptop measuring just 9.99mm thin. By using a unique design, Dell have managed to squash all the components needed in to a super slim shell where the keyboard fits neatly inside the reinforced display.
The Adamo XPS has a 13.4 inch screen that is in a widescreen format. Battery life for the laptop is 5 hours 17 minutes (claimed by Dell) and if that’s not enough you can opt for a larger battery with a 40WHr capacity. [click to continue…]

The Stantum is a multi-touch slate PC that has a 10.1 inch touch screen. It is based and built around a Dell Mini 10 and has no keyboard, has the webcam removed and has just 2 USB ports.
The Slate PC comes supplied with Windows 7 installed (although it’s not clear which version). The multi-touch screen is capable of sensing up to 10 fingers at a time which is plenty for a screen of this size. Other features removed from the Dell Mini 10 are mostly connectivity with it having no wifi and no bluetooth as both antennas were removed. [click to continue…]

It seems like for those of you in Australia, you might be getting the Acer Aspire Timeline 1820PT tablet notebook anytime soon as it’s started showing up on a few websites. It is expected that those ordering now should see their 1820PT arrive from couriers around the 25th or 26th November if there are no delays in stocking and shipping.

Qualcomm have unveiled a new smartbook that will be built by Lenovo and sold by US carrier AT&T. The Smartbook will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and be capable of 720p HD video.
The picture above came thanks to TechTicker and although a little blurry, you can get some what of an idea of what the new smartbook will look like.
The smartbook is essentially a mini laptop that runs a chipset available for smartphones, but has a larger screen and a decent battery life. [click to continue…]

Samsung announced today that they are launching the Samsung Go on to the AT&T network on November 22.
The Samsung Go is a netbook that has access to the AT&T network and runs the Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system. The Samsung netbook it’s self weighs 2.8lbs making it fairly light weight. The screen is backlit by LED and measures 10.1″ and has a WSVGA format displaying 1024 x 600 pixels. [click to continue…]

ASUS have announced a new netbook named the ASUS Eee PC 1101HA-WP. The netbook is similar to the 1101HA with the WP version running Windows 7 Home Premium rather than Vista like the 1101HA.
The netbook being in the 1100 range has an 11.6″ screen along with some improved specs that include 2GB of RAM along with a 250GB hard drive. The netbook is powered by the usual Intel Atom Z520 processor and has a GMA 500 graphics chip. [click to continue…]

Just yesterday ASUS launched the T91MT over in the US making it available to buy from Amazon.com. If you have your eye on the new Tablet netbook and are not sure how the multi-touch interface works then check out the video below.
The T91MT runs the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system that allows a number of multi-touch functions to work on the device. A look at the video shows that it runs quite smoothly although I’d prefer to see it actually running live than seeing a promotional video. [click to continue…]

Amazon in the US have started to ship the ASUS Eee PC T91MT tablet. The T91MT is a newer version of the standard T91 with MT referring to multi-touch. The netbook tablet runs Windows 7 Home Premium and has an acceptable 5 hour battery life.
Spec wise it has a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor along with 1GB of DDR2 RAM (with the ability to take up to 2GB). For storage you get a 32GB solid state drive along with 500GB of free online storage courtesy of ASUS. [click to continue…]

Netbooks have taken off over the last 18 months or so which is due to their small size and good usability. HTC mentioned recently that they want to be part of this when Peter Chou mentioned the are… “carefully looking into that category and how it can be part of that”. What HTC are not doing is becoming another me-too though by just creating another Netbook. What HTC want to do is something unique that makes their netbook range stand-out from the others.
No dates of release are known yet and it is also unknown exactly what they are working on although I’d say we can expect some good power, storage, a decent touchscreen for perhaps a HTC tablet. [click to continue…]

The Dell Adamo XPS is a wafer-thin laptop that will be launched in time for Christmas. When launched the ultra thin laptop will cost $1799.
The Adamo XPS measures just 0.4 inches thin. A couple of other striking features include a latch that you swipe your finger across to open the laptop up along with a unique hinge which raises the keyboard at the back slightly when the Adamo XPS is opened up.
Spec wise it has a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CULV processor along with GS45 integrated graphics and a healthy 4GB of DDR3 memory. The screen is LED backlit and measures 13.4 inches and is capable of a HD resolution at 720p. [click to continue…]
