Carl Zeiss is more commonly known as the company that create the optics for smartphones and various cameras. We hear today that it will be launching the Cinemizer at IFA 2010. Cinemizer is a head mounted display capable of displaying 2D and 3D content to the wearer.
The screens inside the glasses are OLED and have very tiny pixels providing a high resolution. The pixels from what we understand, are the smallest the company behind it have ever made.
Other details reveal that the display has an aspect ratio of 16:9. The head mounted 3D glasses/screen can be used with a PMP, PC, Laptop, Netbook and any other device that can output content in a compatible format.
We can't see these selling in the millions although we are sure some will pick up on the idea and grab a pair.
