It’s not that often you get the chance to drop your Digital SLR camera 3000 feet to the ground, but this is exactly what happened to the camera pictures above. The camera dropped was a Canon Rebel XT that fell from a plane to the ground and managed to survive somehow.
Judging by all the dirt on it, it seems to have had a cushioned landing although dropping a camera from a few feet isn’t recommended let alone 3000.
The accident happened when someone jumped out of a plane to skydive down to the ground. The camera mounted on his head fell off at the start of the jump and the picture seen here is the result of what happened. According to the owner of the camera the lens and camera is still in tact and works ok.
