If you are a business and get the latest BT Business Total Broadband Hub firmware then you have the option of opening up the hub for the public to use.
The BT Broadband Hub allows you to either give away free Wi-Fi access to your customers, or sell Openzone vouchers so that customers connecting can get access for a set period of time. The hub is ideal for those who own hotels, restaurants as well as Dr’s or anywhere a wireless connection could come in handy for your customers.
Two SSID’s are capable of being set up so that you can provide access to computers on a private network which are kept secure from those who are accessing on the public side of the network.
So far there have been 20000 users who have received the firmware to upgrade their current BT Hub and I assume the rest will follow if their hardware is capable of it.
