AT&T [T] are reported to (and have confirmed) that a security hole has exposed 114,000 email addresses of Apple iPad owners.
The leaked details have revealed email addresses of a number of people including White House employees, journalists and CEO’s of large companies amongst thousands of others.
The security hole was discovered by a web security group, Goatse who passed the information on to Gawker, including the list of email addresses, and it could be possible that confidential information relating to every iPad owner in the US has be compromised.
AT&T has known about the security hole since Monday and has now fixed it. What seems to have been leaked is just emails rather than other personal information such as phone numbers or addresses for example.
