For those wanting a new netbook/notebook, the ASUS Eee PC 1201HA has just been launched in the US over at best buy. They are currently selling the netbook for $329.99 along with free shipping (thanks to a 2 day Cyber Monday free shipping deal).
The ASUS 1201HA is a 12 inch netbook that has an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD, built in LAN, Wireless LAN at 802.11b/g/n and a 5.5 to 7 hour battery life. Surprisingly it runs Windows XP Home rather than a version of Windows 7 which might kill the deal for some.
The 1201HA can handle HD resolutions and has a 12.1" screen that can display 1366 x 768 pixels. Netbooked have mentioned that Best Buy have called the netbook 1201HAB with the B representing a cut down model. Upon looking at other specs for the netbook, the usual configuration does see it with Windows 7 installed, so the B here represents the cut down to Windows XP Home. Although XP is a good OS, I personally would expect Windows 7 as it works very well on netbook devices.
