Apple iPhone Keyboard - Will it work

Does the iPhone Keyboard work as well as they want it to?
Many people have criticised the iPhone for not having a real keyboard. Apple decided to opt for a virtual keyboard so that the screen size could be kept as large as possible but yet the device be kept as slim as possible. Touch screens can be hard to work with. If you have ever used a touch screen only device you often get frustrated at trying to enter text and either the wrong letters showing or the whole word being wrong.
Apples iPhone has a number of cool features which make the keyboard easy to use. One of these is included in the predictive text which creates a virtual larger space around a key. For example you could type the word time. When you have the first 3 letters written the only other possibility is the letter E. The space around the E is made larger (not visibly) to allow you more of a chance to hit the correct key. Another feature is the adjustment of letters should you type a word like pizza as ouzza. It detects that the o and the u were probably meant to be p and i and it adjusts accordingly.
Gets better after a week
For a select handful that have the iPhone early to test and review it, they have reported that after a few days of frustration that the iPhone keyboard is actually quicker then a regular mobile phone or blackberry. It seems that the iPhone might actually have a useful keyboard. The only thing missing is feedback on each key, but maybe that will be a thing of the past as soon as virtual keyboards become more popular around the world.
I am slowly being tempted to actually go out and buy one when it becomes available.

The device is a telephone, not a computer. That keyboard is better than any other cellphone keyboard that you’ve ever seen. It’s not meant to equal a PC keyboard.
