Apple will Replace iPad when Battery Dies

Apple iPad 300x302 Apple will Replace iPad when Battery DiesWhen purchasing an Apple iPhone the terms and conditions say that Apple [AAPL] will service your iPhone, ie, replace it's battery when it dies. Things are a little different on the Apple iPad wording though which indicates that Apple will replace your iPad when the battery dies.

Apple iPad Battery Replacement TOS

"If your iPad requires service due to the battery's diminished ability to hold an electrical charge, Apple will replace your iPad for a service fee."

Apple iPhone Battery Replacement

"If your iPhone requires service only because the battery's ability to hold an electrical charge has diminished, Apple will service your iPhone for a service fee."

That's not a bad deal at all although to get a replacement battery (which includes the replaced iPad wrapped around it) you need to pay $99 for the service.

The only thing you need to make sure of when sending your iPad in (probably in a year or two after purchasing it) is that all of your data is safely backed up as Apple literally do a replacement in that they take your old one in and give you a replacement in return. One thing to also note here is that you will more than likely get a refurbed model depending on stock levels.
