Pricing is a little more than we expected although still quite reasonable for the iPad WiFi and 3G models. Pre-ordering starts Monday 10 May on the Apple site.

iPad will be sold through the Apple Store, Apple's retail stores and select Apple Authorised Resellers. The iBooks app for iPad including Apple's iBookstore will be available as a free download from the App Store on May 28th.

There will always be hardcore Apple aficionados, but at a certain point, do the British people get tired of being treated like second-class customers?

Even Apple can’t afford to take a whole market for granted like this forever.
