Well, it looks like Apple have managed to sell all their first batch of Wi-Fi iPads. The Apple store online now gives an estimated shipping date of April 12 for new pre-orders of the Wi-Fi model. Of course the Wi-Fi+3G models are still listed as shipping late April and as of yet, no stock update or dates have been changed.
Don't worry though as the Apple [AAPL] site still gives a release date of April 3, so if you pre-ordered an iPad with the April 3rd release date you should still get it next Saturday. The only way you might pick up an iPad on launch date now is if you walk in to an Apple store (if they kept any back for people walking in store), or perhaps at Best Buy who are believed to be the only other store in the US selling them. Check before taking the trip though to avoid disappointment.
We'll keep an eye on the sales page at the Apple store and update you with any changes that might be made to the pre-order dates again and also when the 3G models change or get a shipping date.
