Aipotek have introduced a new VoIP phone to the market which is just 7.5mm thick and less then 1.5 inches wide. The phone is a shiny glossy type cover which is becoming more popular, and brushed metal on the back of it. The VoIP phone supports popular VoIP services such as Skype, MSN and Yahoo Messenger. The phone is not wireless and uses a USB cable to connect via your PC. We assume that bundled software will sort out connecting it to your PC and give the volume controls and microphone sensitivity etc… Overall it does look like a nice option. As call quality increases with services such as Skype and popularity increases, we are now finding that using a computer to make a phone call is not so foreign anymore and becoming a regular way of communicating with people at a fraction of the cost.
The Aipotek Ultra-slim VoIP phone costs $39 and is available from USBGeek.
