Addonics have created a cool little device that costs just $55 and allows you to connect any USB drive up to it so that you have a cheap NAS (networks attached storage) device.
The Addonics USB-to-NAS adapter is about the size of a C size battery and can supply 1.5A at 5V which is enough to power most USB hard drives. Once your USB drive is connected you can connect it up via a network cable and then use it to serve files to a PS3, XBox 360 etc… and allow it to function as a bit-torrent server, FTP server or a print server. Considering it costs just $55 and many people already own a USB harddrive, it looks like you are getting yourself a nice bargain.
