3D Printer – More Affordable

3D printers are cool as you can quickly download a 3D model of an object and send it to a printer and then have that 3D abject printed before your very eyes. Up till now these printers have been in the 5 figure range in terms of price. The only other cheaper option was to build your own using a project like Fabber. A company called Desktop Factory are about to launch a 3D printer that can print objects 5 cubic inches maximum and it will cost just short of 5 grand (USD). Thats not a bad price at all. The cost of each object printed is in the $1 per cubic inch price range. No doubt in the next 3 or 4 years it will be next to nothing to print your own tooth brush. Lets just look forwards to it printing circuit boards in the future too.
