everled

Cut 20% of your energy bill

LED lights have been around a while now. They can replace a number of lights around the house. The next to receive LED treatment is the fluorescent tube. EverLED have created a replacement for the tube which allows you to plug it in and not many any changes to the light fitting. Each tube is 4 feet long and they have 5 different colour temperatures. Life span of these tubes is around 10 years and they give a 20% energy reduction to the regular fluorescent tubes you normally use.

If you dont want to share....

Open wifi spots are in a bit of a grey area it seems. Some think its ok to use the internet through someone elses wifi hotspot and others think that you should be arrested for doing so. To me its just a simple matter of either securing my network or not securing it. If I choose not to secure it then anybody who parks outside could use it. If I dont want them to then I should require encryption and password protect it.

Anyway, I came across this picture which can be seen above today which made me laugh.

lego-ring-and-cufflinks
LEGO has been around for ages and probably ranks as one of the most used toys ever. I had stacks of the stuff which was pretty much all Technics type Lego as well as a few other things. We recently wrote about the LEGO PS2 memory card holder and now we show you the Lego ring and cufflinks. They each can be made to order with custom colour preferences. The ring has a Swarovski crystal in it too.

RC Cool Box
If you are using a cool box to cool your drinks down then the chances are it is warm and the last thing you want to do is have to keep getting up and down to get a drink, or to serve them around. The radio controlled cool box can hold up to 6 cans of drink and comes with a remote control and rechargeable battery. It allows you to stay lazy, cool and still be a good host by serving drinks around.

I think I could do with one of these my self although I would spend more time driving the car around then actually using it to drive drinks around to people.

The RC Cool Box is available in the UK for 24.99 GBP.

Magic Wheel

Magic Wheel

The Magic Wheel is one slick looking bike which looks like a penny farthing of today. However, the front wheel is no where near the size of a penny farthing and it fits between your legs while standing up. After the jump I have put a video of the magic wheel being used and as you will see it moves quite quick and can remain in control by the person on it.

Street Mouse
The street mouse is just your average mouse but with a few extras stuck on. It reminds me of a boy racer car that you see driving around with the loud exhaust but an engine with the power of a lawnmower. Anyway, moving on... The street mouse has extras such as headlights that work and are always on, brake lights that work when the mouse is moved (I think that brake lights should work when it stops... but maybe thats just me) and also it has chrome wheels and tinted windows. All it needs now is a Corsa or Saxo sticker on the back and its perfect.

The mouse is USB or PS2 compatible.

Another version available is the TVR which is a wireless mouse. Now this one is no boy racer car. Check out more information and a picture after the jump.

handirack-roof-rack

Roof Rack keeps scratches away

This inflatable roof rack is one of those excellent ideas which you are glad someone thought of. It is named the HandiRack and is set to cost around $100. The roof rack as mentioned earlier is inflatable which prevents you scratching or damaging the roof of your car while trying to fit it. Installation is easy as you just put them on your roof and fasten it to the car with straps which are thin enough to fit between the doors. Once inflated they can carry up to 175 pounds of weight.

Swimming Cap Toiletry Bag

Stretchy Swimming Cap Bag

The Swimming cap toiletry bag can store a ton of things in it due to its stretchy nature. Just be careful not to throw too much in it though as it could loose shape eventually. It basically is what girls used to wear when they went swimming and what you see the pros wear to streamline themselves. The difference here is that it has a zip around it to make it in to a bag also.

Heart Beat Mouse

Heart Beat Mouse

Monitor your health while online

Apparently when you work on the computer, it isnt as relaxing as you think. The heart beat mouse intends to tackle the problem of not looking after your health. It has a sensor on the right button and I believe one inside which measures your heart beat while you are working away. If your heart rate is not ideal then it will tell you to take a break. It appears that the sensor on the right button is used for measuring light conditions to make sure it isnt too light or dark in the room while you are working. The heart beat sensor can measure from 30 - 200 BPM and the light sensor can measure 50 - 700 lumens. The software on the PC allows you to configure it so you can email your Dr your statistics so that he can demand you come see him if you are not too healthy.

Does it actually have 312 keys?

The 312 key keyboard above is a musical instrument. It has 312 keys, but from looking at the keyboard being used it seems like you press one and 2, 3 or 4 above it also get pressed down. I am not sure if that qualifies it as a 312 key keyboard. I could be wrong though as maybe it does create a different sound depending on which key down the line is pressed.

If any one knows I would be grateful to find out. Post a comment. There is one more video after the jump of this keyboard being used.
