Storm Launcher

by Matthew on October 28, 2006

The Storm Launcher seems to come from the cool Hydrofoam we all saw last year. This new RC vehicle is not really a car, plane or boat. It’s really all 3 in 1. It can go on land, water or fly in the air. Just check out the video below.

The above video shows the original Hydrofoam as it was first introduced last year. Storm Launcher have added features to their model such as onboard skill level monitoring which wont let you take off till you have shown you are capable of handling this vehicle. XBox 360 Laptop Video

by Matthew on October 27, 2006

While on the subject of Ben Heck and the Jaguar and XBox 360, I decided to see if Youtube had any interesting video’s on any of Ben’s home made consoles. The video does show a little bit of the console in action and it’s interesting to see in side the device to see what makes it run. Check out the video below.

Nokia N95 3D Graphics

by Matthew on October 27, 2006

The N95 is due out in the next couple of months and is 1 amazing phone. Features such as GPS and a 5 megapixel camera make this phone come out tops. What else grabbed my attention is the 3D graphics chip that is rumoured to be inside. The video clip below shows the 3D capabilities of the phone in the form of a built in game. The frame rate does look great. Check it out.

Atari Jaguar From Ben Heck

by Matthew on October 27, 2006

Most of you will have heard of Ben Heck who created the XBOX 360 Laptop as well as many other portables out of the full size original’s such as the Playstation 1, N64, PS2 and much more. His site is over here.

Ben Heck Atari Jaguar

The latest is the Atari Jaguar. Unfortunatly the Atari Jaguar was a real flop. I know… I sold 1 the whole time I worked at EB, and it got returned under their 10 day returns policy. Anyway, a good customer came along to Ben and he couldnt refuse. Full instructions are included so you can make your own. Hopefully you wont and will decide to make something else on his site :)

Remote Controlled Lantern

by Matthew on October 27, 2006

I came across Coolbuzz today which looks like another excellent blog on things cool! When I saw the post about a remote controlled lantern I wondered what on earth is this. The remote control lantern is a simple but advanced lantern. It’s remote control and can be switched on from 30 feet away. What ads more to this lantern is it’s ability to run for up to 23 hours.

The lantern’s remote control is small and can easily fit in your pocket. It uses 2 AAA batteries. The lantern has a 7 watt flourescent U-tube which gives off bright white light. The lantern costs $25.99 and is handy for all camping situations.

A Wii Bit of Action

by Matthew on October 26, 2006

Unbeatable.co.uk have reviewed the Nintendo Wii due out soon. The console is more powerful then a Game Cube but less powerful then the XBox360. The cool thing about it is the games. The motion sensing controller is what everyone wants to get their hands on and test.

Dragon USB Mirror Card Reader

by Matthew on October 26, 2006

The Dragon USB Mirror Card Reader is just another plain memory card reader. The only difference is that it’s a mirror also, I guess made for girls or something. It has 5 slots built in and can read… CF I, CF II, Microdrive, SM, SD, miniSD, MMC, RS MMC, MS, MS MagicGate, MS PRO, MS Pro MagicGate, MS Duo, MS Duo MagicGate, MS Pro Duo, MS Pro Duo MagicGate, MS Pro Ultra II, MS ROM, MS Select, and T-Flash type cards. Not a bad array of cards there! I just wish they would make 1 format of memory card and that would make life so much better :)

iPod Rumours

by Matthew on October 26, 2006

A number of rumours and drawings of touch screen iPods have been going around the internet for a while now. Apple announced recently that 2007 will be their biggest year for devices. The iPod touch screen is one such rumour which methodshop even posted some iPod patent pictures early on this year.

iPod Touch Screen
Along with this rumour is more news (rumour) which say the touch screen iPod will have a wide screen aspect ratio unlike it’s would be competitor from MS, the Zune. If iPod do go ahead with this and rumours are true then the Zune is doomed. Well, maybe anyway ;)

A quote from someone anonymous…
“In a very matter of fact tone I was told that the product was not designed for the current generation of device, but the official 6G iPod… which is to be released in December. His company’s device only comes onto the market shortly before then and would benefit hugely because the new iPod would sport a screen that filled the full side of the device and consequently offer higher resolution video… This is why Jobs isn’t afraid of the Zune,’ he said, though he had no knowledge of whether wireless would make an appearance.”
